The second edition of MolFest, held in Molfetta (BA), has just concluded. It’s the largest and most important comic, cosplay, and gaming event in Puglia, with over 140,000 square meters of exhibition space and tens of thousands of visitors from all over Southern Italy.
For this second edition, the Hoken Tech team created the official videogame of the event, MolFree, a visual novel set in the historic center of Molfetta, a unique adventure featuring various protagonists and unique scenarios, just as unique as the city of Molfetta itself.
Furthermore, some of the graphics created for this videogame were made by local artists, demonstrating an interest in actively participating in the development of the project, which culminated in this videogame.
The videogame was especially popular with the public and all visitors who were enchanted by it, and who experienced firsthand the project and the story it conveyed, focused on the theme of the event: Freedom.
Praise also came from the local administration of Molfetta, with various municipal councilors who viewed and played the official MolFest videogame and congratulated the project, bringing the history and the city of Molfetta to an even wider audience.
Not only did the event involve part of Molfetta’s city center, spanning over 140,000 square meters, where hundreds of local entities including associations, startups, and local businesses were located, but there was also a continuous influx of visitors from all over Puglia and even outside the region, with both national and international guests such as Gen Sato and Katsumi Ono.
The data for the MolFree videogame are also truly impressive, having been played by hundreds of people in just a few days who, stopping at the Hoken Tech stand, were able to try the videogame and also explore the work done by this Molfetta-based startup.
Certainly, this second edition of MolFest brought an unprecedented wave of novelty and joviality, both in terms of content and expansion of the event, giving space above all to local realities.
This second experience was fabulous for us, and having created the official videogame of the event for the second year in a row makes us happy and proud to be able to contribute, in our small way, to the success of this event, which in the future could become a true point of reference in Italy, and hopefully in the world, in the field of comics, cosplay, and videogames.
