Doriam Battaglia Chooses Hoken Tech for His Cryptoart in web3

Welcome to Hoken Tech

The startup Hoken Tech is pleased to announce a new partnership with the artist Doriam Battaglia.

On this occasion, the Hoken Tech team had the opportunity to interview the artist to learn more about his works.

Who is Doriam Battaglia?

Artist Battaglia initially pursued architecture and worked in the field, with only a brief engagement in creative endeavors. However, his passion for artistic expression emerged early—he won a contest at age six, earning an encyclopedia as a prize. Over time, he chose to leave architecture behind and fully dedicate himself to his artistic career.

We note that his passion extends well beyond simple painting, as he is also active in the local art sector through various associations and as a teacher at the academy of fine art, guiding young artists in this profession.

The Style of Doriam Battaglia

Having taken various specialized art courses, Battaglia started by using oils in his early years but has since adapted his techniques, and now employs his unique style using enamels and paints for a special art effect.

His technique evolved from a more manual style to a more artistic one by splattering color onto the canvas, which is then processed in two stages, because the work is completed with various finishes, considering the drying times of the enamels.

His works are not straightforwardly abstract but, as the artist describes them, “pre-forms,” which are what come before the complete and final form, evoking cerebral connections or mathematical structures.

DNA in Art

Colors and “forms” are not random but precisely chosen, with a base of four colors. From the combination of these four colors, new ones can be created, and this chromatic choice is inspired by another science, namely biology, specifically DNA.

In this context, the four colors represent the four nitrogenous bases of DNA: adenine, cytosine, guanine, and thymine, showing the unique depth of his works and indicating a knowledge of biology and nature that the artist wishes to integrate and convey through his art.

Art and NFTs

The approach to the world of NFTs is recent, thanks to the contribution of other colleagues involved in projects in this field, such as the “Michele Cea” prize promoted by the Cea Foundation, where the new collection was recently launched.

This interest led to the partnership between Hoken Tech and the artist, which will materialize soon, with some works having been digitized using this new tool and medium represented by blockchain.

Advice and Future Projects

On the artist’s roadmap is a new solo exhibition to be held in Como, a new catalog with various works from the exhibition is planned, including information written by both the artist and an art critic.

Finally, the artist invites all young artists and newcomers to the field to carefully consider enticing gallery proposals for their art, as investments may not always yield returns.

Instead, they are encouraged to explore various associations that offer spaces free of charge to promote artists.
